April 25th, 2005

Yesterday, we went to the Sagar restaurant in Hammersmith. I will usually mention only good restuarants, and this one is excellent. It was the runner-up in 2004 in the Time Out magazine, so it should be reasonably good.

First of all, most Indian restaurants in London are quite tacky. The last year though, things have improved. This restaurant is overall quite nice looking. Modern simple furniture.

The food though was very good. We got channa masala, mutter paneer, saag paneer, and a thali. We also got some chapatis, and plain rice.

Everything was excellent, not too spicy, but the curries had many flavours.

I highly recommend this restaurant, if you like Indian food.
